The are the best all season pants! This is my third pair. Now I have them in three colors. I have been wearing them pretty much nonstop since I got the first pair (hence two more pairs). My only teeny weeny complaint is that I will definitely have to re-enforce the button on the fly. They get a lot of use! But I’ll take that over a dumb zipper that slides down any day. Also, these keep getting softer with every wear.

The fabric is a nice heavy-weight high-quality fabric that you would expect of surplus-type pants. I have these in black in my normal size 27 and they are big in the waist even with the side buttoned on the tightest setting. I also have these in green in a 26 and they are very snug on my waist with the sides completely unbuttoned. With how big the 27s were, I thought the 26s would be perfect, but there seems to be a big difference between the two. They hold their shape and size with wear throughout the day. I love these pants otherwise and even though one pair is very loose and one pretty snug, they both still look nice. The rise is higher, but I guess that goes with the trend these days. The length is perfect for my 5'5" height.
